has quickly become my new obsession. Whether you're a mother, father, doesn't matter, Pinterest has something for absolutely everyone to fall in love with. I suppose you could categorize it as a social media site, but it has more to offer to your everyday life than you could ever imagine. Yes, it may be addictive, but it's also very productive - I call that a win, win.

The site is kind of hard to explain, I'll give you a little run down of what kinds of things you can accomplish with Pinterest, but make sure you check the site out for yourself so you get the real feel of its awesomeness!

Anything and everything can be found on Pinterest, such as recipes, DIY home decor, fashion tips, beauty tricks, easy and fun kids activities, art, vacation spots, wedding/shower planning ideas... seriously I could go on for quite awhile, the list is never ending. Pinterest will help you save money, have more fun, and try new things.

You can share your own favorites with other Pinterest users as well. If you find a great website, have a cool kids craft, or a great holiday decorating tip - Pin It! That's the site lingo for sharing something, it's called pinning.

Once you are invited to join the website you get your very own Pinterest page where you can save ideas that you like from other users into categories you create. Here is an example: Below is an idea for a holiday card, it's a little kid wrapped in lights (super cute) so I clicked 'Repin' to save it to my Pinterest page. A pop-up box appeared and I can choose which category to save it under or create a new category, then just click 'Pin' and it's saved.

Do you ever search the web at home, or on your lunch break at work and you come across something really cool? Like a cheap DIY project for your home, or an awesome recipe to try when your parents come for dinner next weekend, but now that you have found it you don't know what to do with it until you actually want to use it... it happens to me all the time, so I know I'm not the only one. This site has completely solved that problem. Now when you find the perfect center piece idea for your wedding, or a dessert that looks to die for while surfing the internet on your phone waiting at the doctors office, you don't have to struggle with finding somewhere to write down the web address, (and most likely struggle to find it later) just Pin It and it will be there for you whenever you need it.

Give Pinterest a try, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Even if you aren't super tech savvy, now worries, the whole site is really user friendly. I'll say you're welcome in advance because trust me you will want to thank me once you start using The only thing I won't take credit for is your lost productivity hours at work...don't say I didn't warn you, this site is addictive!
