When rebels stormed Moammar Gadhafi’s compound recently, they found some unusual things that revealed a lot about the Libyan leader. The most interesting item? An album containing dozens of photos of Condoleeza Rice, indicating he might have had a bit of a schoolboy crush on the former US Secretary of State.

There weren’t any hearts drawn around her pictures or “Mr. Moammar Rice” scrawled in cursive, but Gadhafi did once tell al-Jazeera television, “I support my darling black African woman. I admire and am very proud of the way she leans back and gives orders to the Arab leaders … Leeza, Leeza, Leeza. … I love her very much. I admire her and I’m proud of her because she’s a black woman of African origin.”

Aw. Brutal dictators are so cute at that age. Check out some shots of the album on MSNBC.
