Meet Shia and Mitzi at the Tri-County Humane Society.

Meet Shia.

Shia is a little Chihuahua and terrier mix, who came all the way from California. They have an over abundance of Chihuahuas there like we have cats here.

She is spayed and 4 years old.

Shia can be apprehensive of new people at first and she seems to take to women better than men. Once she warms up she is an absolute sweetheart.

She has been entertaining the staff as she whips her squeaky toys across the floor, so she seems to be coming out of her shell.

Shia knows how to sit - especially when her favorite toy is the reward.

Shia has been doing well at keeping her kennel clean and has a gentle disposition.

Meet Mitzi.

Mitzi is looking for a new home because her owner was moving across the country and was unable to bring her along.

Mitzi is 10 years old and is described as a very affectionate and loving cat.

It may take her a few days to warm up to her new environment once she’s adopted – mainly because after 10 years of one lifestyle, her world has been shook up a little bit.

Once Mitzi feels safe again, she’ll be seeking out your lap and you’ll have a new best friend.
