Opie’s Angels Wish – Monster Trucks [AUDIO]

Each year we team up with Opie's One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning to give back to the local community. This time we grant a little boys wish to see the Monster Trucks.

Here's another Opie's Angel Wish.

Dear Opie's Angels,

As Christmas nears closer and closer with each passing day, I become more and more sad. Why you ask? Well, Christmas just isn't the same anymore after our 13 month old daughter Ayva passes away very suddenly and very unexpectedly in August of 2010.

I have come to understand that she was a "borrowed angel" from God and I find comfort in knowing that she is the lucky one spending her Christmases with Jesus.

We've had several challenges financially with our daughter's death and paying to fix the black mold in our home left us with little money for gifts for our remaining child, 4 1/2 year old Jaxson. Jaxson has lunch illnesses and we will probably face bigger issues with him down the road.

My son says we don't need presents this year, he just wants his sister to have flowers. I wish I could afford just a few gifts for him. He loves trucks, especially Monster Trucks.

Dear Jenny,

The holidays are a tough time of the year especially when dealing with the memories of a child lost too early in life. You are absolutely correct, Ayva was a borrowed angel. You have to stay strong for Jaxson as he needs his mom more than ever now.

We would love to give Jaxson and the family a happy memory this Christmas. Since Jaxson loves Monster Trucks, we have arranged a trip to the Metrodome to see 16 of them on Saturday, December 10! You and family will have lower level seating so you get an up close look at them while they do their tricks and stunts. We're also going to give Jaxson his very own monster truck toy so he can recreate that night over and over at home. Be sure to bring your camera Jenny, you and the family will be meeting Dennis Anderson - driver of the Grave Digger while you are at the show!
