A strong solar storm on the surface of the sun has sent waves of magnetic plasma streaming towards earth for the past couple of days -- and one of the effects could be a spectacular show across the Minnesota sky tonight; in the form of the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis.

The sky obviously has to be clear for viewing, but tonight's half-isn moon could interfere with the show. The farther away from city lights, the better your chance of observing the phenomenon. Cross your fingers & keep your eyes peeled.
