SAUK RAPIDS - Winding go-kart tracks and Minnesota Lake inspired mini-golf are just a few of the attractions that bring people to Summerland time after time.

This year, Summerland added a new slick kart track to complete it's trifecta of go-kart tracks. The slick track allows for cars to drift around corners while using faster and newer karts. The other tracks are the longer Indy track and the junior track.

After racing on the track, you can move the friendly competition to one of the mini-golf courses. "The Lakes" Adventure Golf course named each hole after lakes throughout Minnesota.

Owner Wayne Swenson says Summerland continues to attract people from all over Central Minnesota.

"I think people enjoy coming out for the various attractions. People drive for an hour or better just to come by."

Once you have finished up the hot competition on the go-kart track and mini-golf course you can cool off on the bumper boats or waterside, or work on your swing in the batting cages.

To make sure their is something for everyone, Summerland also offers a chance for the young kids to get behind the wheel on the junior kart track and junior bumper boats.

Swenson says he wants people in the area to know that this is their park.

"I always tell everyone that this is their park, not mine.It is the people that come out and enjoy it and have fun."

While Swenson has built Summerland into one of the premier places in Central Minnesota for a day out with friends or family, he says he is already looking to add more attractions.
