New Minnesota State Laws Go Into Effect August 1st
August 1st will come and go and many of us won't even realize that there are some new laws on the books. Here are some to be aware of:
1. Great news for minimum wage workers. That wage has now gone from $6.15 to $8 an hour.
2. You should always slow down through a work zone, but now the penalty is higher. A $300 fine.
3. Are you a notary? You can now charge more for your services. Maximum fees increase from $1 to $5.
4. Someone who commits domestic violence or stalk another person will lose access to a firearm during an order of protection.
