New Asian Cuisine Restaurant To Move Into Former Hacienda Location

WAITE PARK -- A South Asian style restaurant is coming to Waite Park.

Owner Asad Asaduzzaman says he plans on opening the restaurant "Spice" in the former Hacienda building at 1001 Division Street.

Plans have renovations to the interior and exterior of the building. He says he has previous experience in the restaurant business and wanted to bring a different variety of dining to the area.

On Tuesday The Hacienda Family Mexican Restaurant put on sign in the window saying they were closed for business.

The Waite Park City Council plans to approve on sale and Sunday liquor licences for the restaurant at their Monday's meeting.

Spice Asian Cuisine plans to open by early October.
