My Thoughts On Re-Gifting

Every year it seems I hear more and more about re-gifting.  I've heard several different opinions on the concept and I think I know what my thoughts are on it.

When I say I think I know, that means I'm still open to hearing other opinions and I could be persuaded to think differently.  With that being said, I do not agree with re-gifting.  At least not in a way that's presented as a Christmas or birthday gift.

If you get something you can't use but you know someone who can, I think it's perfectly acceptable to give it to them.  However, I think it's deceptive to take a gift you've been given, re-wrap it and present to another person as though you spent time picking it out for them.    My goodness, what if you gave it back to the person who gave it to you?
