I should have known today was not going to be a good day the moment I stepped outside with Kaycee this morning.

I got up extra early to get my car cleaned off and get it warmed up.  I was pleasantly surprised when I saw there wasn't much to clean off (I got smart and cleaned it up last night.)  However, I couldn't tell where the steps were to get off our porch because it was so snow packed and poor Kaycee didn't know what to do.

I left at a few minutes after 6 a.m. and I was a little worried about the drive because I am a bit accident prone.  I'm not a mile away from my house and a huge wave of snow flies up my windshield and that's it...I can't move anymore.  My car sits really low to the ground and there was no moving it.  I must have looked ridiculous trying to clear the snow with my snow brush and feet but whatever.

Luckily, my dad and brothers came with my dad's truck and they had to pull me home backwards.

This is one of those days where if you don't have to go out, don't.  The roads are horrendous.  I was going through Clear Lake on Hwy 24 when my car slid and spun.  I thought for sure I was done for.  I think it was snow that saved me.  I thought Hwy 10 would be better but that was worse.  I didn't go above 30 mph and I honestly feel bad for the folks who were stuck behind me.  I've never been so happy to get off the road in my entire life.
