Last week, I gave you a few cheap date ideas and I had a few comments and you asked for more, so here are a few more cheap date ideas.

Brew Festivals

Do the two of you enjoy beer? There are beer festivals all over the place. Monticello already had their BrewFest this year, but there are a few more this fall in the Twin Cities, so if you’re driving, one of you may want to take it easy. The Autumn Brew Review is coming up on September 28 in Minneapolis, and it’s only appropriate they hold it on the grounds of the Historic Grain Belt brewery complex in Minneapolis. The Mill City Oktoberfest is also happening that day just outside downtown Minneapolis. Twin Cities Oktoberfest and Nordeast Big River Brew Fest both take place in October. For more festivals, check out the Beer Festival Calendar.

Play Outside

I love the freewheeling nature of a bicycle ride, and there are so many beautiful trails in central Minnesota. Haven’t been on your bike in a while? No problem! Just get it tuned up and hit the road.

Dancing

Dancing is a great way to get some exercise and get a little closer. When my best friend and I were single ladies, we took a salsa dance class. There were several couples that were in the class as well and it was a lot of fun. We also got free entry into a club later to put our skills to test.

Dollar Store Adventure

I like the dollar store. It’s amazing what you can find there. Each of you take $10 or $20 and see what you can find, but the adventure is that you have to buy each other presents.

Crafting

Another place to have fun is the junk store. There’s so much cool stuff in there. If you’re both into DIY projects, find something that piques both your interests and try it out. There’s nothing more satisfying than working hard on something together and have it turn out, and things at the junk store to be repurposed that don’t have to cost a lot of money.
