Not only is country music star Miranda Lambert nominated for a Grammy award she just announced Tuesday (Jan 21) that she will also be performing at the upcoming award show.

Only two other country artists have been given the honor of performing on the iconic Grammy stage so far this year - Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.

According to 'Entertainment Weekly' Lambert said: "It means the world to have a nomination and perform." continuing by saying "It's awesome and I'm so thankful to be a part of it."

The last time Lambert performed on the Grammy stage was back in 2011 when she brought down the house with her performance of 'The House the Built Me'. The song also won her a Grammy for Best female Country Vocal Performance that night.

This year Miranda is nominated for Best Country Album for 'Four the Record', where she's up against Zac Brown Band, Hunter Hayes, The Time Jumpers, and Jamey Johnson. Honestly I really hope she takes home the trophy, that album is awesome.

The 2013 Grammy awards will be hosted once again by LL Cool J, and will air live from the Staples Center Sunday February 10th at 7 PM central on CBS.
