We grumble, we complain, and we dread those shorter days and colder nights. But what if we stopped doing that, and started embracing winter?

Research says that we in Minnesota (or at least a whole bunch of us) are taking the wrong approach to winter. Changing our mindset can make all the difference. And we can learn how to do that from our friends in Norway.

Here are some ways Norwegians make winter great:

1. They go outside! There's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing.

2. They have a sense of coziness. Candles, fireplace, warm beverages, fuzzy blankets.

3. They appreciate the beauty of the season.

It put a whole new perspective on this coming winter for me. I'm going to try to follow the lead of our Norwegian friends. This might be my best winter ever!
