The Minnesota Wild (42-15-6) topped the visiting San Jose Sharks (38-19-7) 3-1 tonight at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. It's Minnesota's 9th straight win following a loss, in fact the Wild haven't lost two consecutive regulation games in four months.

Eric Staal had two goals including an empty netter, and had a chance at a second empty net goal for the hat trick, but came up just short.
