Minnesota Wild Surge In Latest NHL Power Rankings
Coach Mike Yeo's return from the brink of termination, and the Minnesota Wild's late season resurgence has resulted largely from the acquisition of goalie Devan Dubnyk from Phoenix, and the way the rest of the team has played in front of him in his first ten games. The Wild jumped five spots in this week's NHL power rankings.
How quickly things can change. Seven games ago, the Wild had lost six straight. Since acquiring Dubnyk, the Wild had won six in a row before falling last night to Winnipeg in overtime -- leaving Minnesota just two points being the Vancouver Canucks, who hold the last play off spot as of today.
A week ago the Wild were ranked at number-twenty in the NHL power rankness. This week they jumped five spots to #15 in SB Nation's weekly poll.
