The Minnesota Wild (37-12-6) rocked the Detroit Red Wings (22-24-10) 6-3 in a matinee performance this afternoon at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Zach Parise led Minnesota's scoring with a pair of goals on the home ice.

Minnesota's 80 points remains the best in the Western Conference, and just four behind the NHL best Washington Capitals (84) who have played one more game than the Wild.

Chicago has won five in a row. St. Louis has won four in a row -- and the Wild continue to dominate and hold their ground against two other hot divisional rivals.
