The Minnesota Wild (32-11-5) beat the St. Louis Blues (24-20-5) 5-1 last night in St. Paul, making their 69 points the highest total in the NHL's Western Conference. Only the Washington Capitals have more points (72) going into this weekends All-Star break.

Minnesota's win, along with a loss another by Chicago, has extended the Wild's first place lead in the Central Division to four points over the Blackhawks, who have played three more games than Minnesota.
