The Minnesota Twins opened their 2017 season this afternoon at Target Field with a 7-1 win over the visiting Kansas City Royals. It was the first opening day win for the Twins since 2008.

After starting last season 0-9, an opening day win was especially welcome by an optimistic team and it's fans. By the way, Minnesota is tied for first place. (You just never know when you're going to be able to say that again.)
