Maybe it's because we've had to endure four straight horrific seasons, or maybe it's because there are legitimate reasons to be pessimistic about this years team; but as Bill Parcels once said, "You are who the numbers say you are." And the numbers say the Twins (26-18) are in second place, two games out of first.

That's two games behind one of the best teams in baseball this year -- the Kansas City Royals. This is the same team that started the season 0-6, and was outscore 20-something to 1 during that stretch.

In Minnesota we've learned to protect our sports feelings by saying things like, "...it's still early in the season." While that's true, we are now more than a quarter of the way into things, and these guys keep winning.

Tonight it's game-two of a three game series at Target Field against the Boston Red Sox. The Twins beat them 7-2 yesterday. Tomorrow it's a Noon start in the final game of the series and I'll be there (forecast: Sunny & 82˚). Taking my mom to the game for her birthday.

It's been fun so far, but it's still early in the season. Get your tickets HERE.

Go Twins!
