Sure, go ahead and call us the anti-Hawaii (because it's true). They have volcanos, warm Januarys, mountains, beaches, and canoes. Wait, wait! We have canoes too. And that's where it ends. They have the BEST winters, and we have the WORST. (Although we do have hockey, snowmobiles, and ice fishing.)

Thrillist.com has ranked every U.S. state by winter misery, and I'm proud to say that Minnesota came in with the Most Miserable Winter in the United States of America. Why am I proud? Because second place sucks. Nothing good ever comes to those who finish second.

But finish in last place and you get the headlines, the pride, the notoriety, and the number-one draft pick. Growing up in Minnesota, and living in Florida for a few years; I've experienced both ends of the spectrum.
