Most of us dread going to the dentist, and it appears that Minnesotans are the best in the United States for looking the dentist straight in the eye and saying "let's do this"!

Wallethub just released their annual report of 2018's states with the best, and worst, dental health. To find out who topped the list, they compared the 50 states (and District of Columbia) across 25 key indicators of dental wellness. The indicators range from share of adolescents who visited a dentist in the past year to dental treatment costs to share of adults with low life satisfaction due to oral condition.

Minnesota came in at the top of this list in the total score, and also #1 in overall dental habits and care! Coming in a close second on the list was Wisconsin.

Notice that most of the states surrounding Minnesota scored in the top 10 as well. Iowa almost made it but could only get to #13, which still isn't bad!

You can almost guess which states came in dead last: Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. That's not really a surprise is it?

This just proves that a healthy diet of tater tot hot dish and lutefisk is great for the teeth!
