Minnesota Has Longest Life Expectancy In The U.S.
Ever since I was old enough to understand age, I made a personal goal of living to be 100 years old. Now, I hope it will happen but only time will tell. However, living in Minnesota definitely helps that goal!
Medicare Health Plans recently announced that the Land of 10,000 Lakes has the highest life expectancy in the country, at 81.1 years old. The good news doesn't stop there! We also are among the healthiest in the country, landing a spot in the top ten.
We are ranked at number six on the list which was released yesterday. We may not always love our cold climate, but the ranking suggests that even though the sun can be good for you, too much of it can be bad. We get a good balance here in good ol' Minnesota!
Our lakes also do us many favors as they provide many healthy activities to do outdoors that double as exercise.
It also doesn't hurt that our annual household income is higher than the national average...so, long story short, Minnesota is a good place to be!
