The fallout continued to accumulate today following Adrian Peterson's indictment on charges of negligent injury of a child on Friday. Today Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton called the situation, "a public embarrassment," calling on the Vikings to suspend Peterson until the case in the criminal justice system system has been resolved.

Governor Dayton's comments come one day after the Radisson Hotel chain pulled it's sponsorship from the team. Additionally:

  • Anheuser-Busch has released a statement expressing concern over recent events in the NFL.
  • Nike stores in the Mall of America and in Albertville have pulled Peterson jerseys.
  • U.S. Bank, rumored to be eyeing the naming rights to the team’s new stadium, has said it is “monitoring the situation closely.”
  • The company that created EpiPen, previously partnered with Peterson, says it is no longer working with him.
  • An appearance by six Vikings players at the St. Joseph’s Home for Children scheduled for today was cancelled.
  • The website for Adrian Peterson’s 'All Day Foundation' has been put on hold.

Adrian Peterson is expected to practice with the team this week, and play on Sunday in New Orleans against the Saints at Noon on FOX.
