I knew I loved living in Minnesota. Wallethub recenty ranked Minnesota the second happiest state to live in the United States.

The website reviewed 25 factors to help create their ranking. Some of those factors included number of hours each person works in a week, the amount of sleep they get, crime rates and time spent outdoors. The land of ten-thousand lakes is second behind Utah.

Minnesota ranked number one in the "emotional well being category," number seven in the
"work environment," and a three in the "community environment and recreational activities" category.

The rest of the top five include Hawaii, Colorado and North Dakota. The worst states to live include; Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama and West Virginia.

So, the rule of thumb is that people seem to live happier lives in the northern part of the U.S.
