Minnesota Does It Again: Happiest State in the USA
If you've found yourself feeling happier lately, it may not just be by chance. It's likely because Minnesota is the happiest out of all 50 states in the USA.
Wallethub just released their 2017 report on the happiest states in America, and not surprising, Minnesota ranked #1.
They measured 28 key metrics, ranging from depression rate to sports participation rate to income growth - that all factored together, determined the ranking for each state.
You'd think much of the upper Midwest would be in the top of the list, but that surprisingly isn't true! Nebraska is the nearest to us at #5, South Dakota at #7, and Wisconsin at #9. North Dakota didn't even make the top 10.
Here's how the top 10 ended up:
10 - New Hampshire
9 - Wisconsin
8 - Iowa
7 - South Dakota
6 - New Jersey
5 - Nebraska
4 - California
3 - Hawaii
2 - Utah
1 - Minnesota
Of course, being happy in tough to have all the time. Everybody has their down days. It helps knowing that you increase your chances of being overall "happy" by living here in Minnesota! Happiness makes people nice, so it just fits hand-in-hand with "Minnesota Nice"!
