RICHMOND -- The five-time nominated Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival is back again. The music festival kicks off its 36th-year four-day event tomorrow (Thursday) through Sunday at El Rancho Manana in Richmond.

The event has everything from mainstage concerts, daytime instrument collaborations and nightly dances in the showcase tent, crafts, and games for families and food.

This year's band headliners include Travelin' McCourys, Clay Hess Band, Horsenecks, Canote Brothers, Pert Near Sandstone, and Monroe Crossing.

Owner and Manager Kevin Ward says, if the music festival is not what you are looking for there is other events you can do.

"And if the music isn't all of it. it's part of the family and there's someone that says, hey that's not my cup of tea. You can go fishing, swimming, riding lots of stuff" says Ward.

The four-day event costs 95 dollars, but children 12 and under are admitted free.

"They can come for the whole thing four days and the camp is included in your ticket, or you can just come each day and buy individual tickets"

The event starts at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday). Doors open 12:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
