Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton recently signed legislation making Sunday liquor sales legal in Minnesota. It doesn't take effect until July, but one Twin Cities liquor store is already making the change. Surdyk's in Minneapolis was open on Sunday creating a big stir in the community, some people were outraged.

Personally, I think this is why we can't have nice things. There's always someone out there to ruin things for everyone. Finally, after many years of not being able to buy liquor on Sunday, we're just three months away. And, for some reason that's not quick enough for Surdyk's. You've got to be kidding me. What in the world were they thinking?

KARE 11 reports that the liquor store has been fined by the City of Minneapolis and Surdyk's liquor license has been suspended.

I'm glad that the city did something. How in the world the liquor store thought this would be a good idea is beyond me. It seems like a publicity stunt to me.
