Meet Nathan Johnson from Sauk Rapids, MN. He’s our March ‘Veteran of the Month.’ He was nominated by his wife Abby who had this to say about him;

Nathan deserves this because he would be the first to say, 'send me' to protect the American people. If he's not doing something for someone else, he doesn't feel achievement. He lives for providing and protecting others."

Johnson is a captain in the Minnesota Army National Guard, 1-125 Field Artillery. He has chosen to make a career out of the military and has been deployed three times. He was stationed in Europe in 2003, Iraq in 2005 and Kuwait in 2011.

Currently he serves as commander of Charlie Battery in Fairmont, he's a police officer in Madelia and he's a 911 dispatcher in St. James.

Johnson has sponsored two children from Compassion International which supports children less fortunate. He is also chapter adviser for 2 Pi Lambda Phi Fraternities and offers guidance to students looking to excel in academics and leadership skills.

The ‘Veteran of the Month’ is brought to you by the Clearwater Travel Plaza – on 98-1 Minnesota’s New Country.
