A mother battling Stage 4 cancer got the surprise of her life on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Monday (Oct. 19), when Martina McBride joined her 4-year-old daughter to sing an encore of “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.” The same little girl’s video performance went viral last week. If you sniffled during that, you’ll lose it during this touching moment.

Over 27 million watched McKenna sing McBride’s cancer fighting anthem to her mother after it appeared on EllenTube. The little girl's mother is battling Hodgkin Lymphoma and joined the host to talk about her battle. She had no idea McBride was on hand to sing with her daughter, but that wasn’t the only surprise.

The country superstar sang with McKenna, but happily backed off when it was time for the little girl to belt out the song’s biggest and most powerful lines. “I’m gonna love you through it” she shouts during each chorus. Few on stage or in the audience held it together, and then everyone lost it when DeGeneres announces that Shutterfly was kicking in a $20,000 check for medical bills.

McBride is busy working on her next studio album, her first on Nash Icon Records. There's been no official word on when fans will be able to hear a single.
