It was a scary scene this week in New York City when people looked up at an apartment building to see a young girl standing on an air conditioning window unit. The seven-year-old girl has special needs, according to her neighbors, and had crawled out the third story window and was moving back and forth on the unit.

Steven St. Bernard, a city bus driver, happened to be walking by and stood under her in case she fell. Sure enough, she plummeted the three stories...right into his arms. She was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries, while Steven suffered a torn tendon in his shoulder. His line about being a hero not only sums up what being a hero is all about, but I'm sure we'll see his picture with his quote on a t-shirt or two in the near future! Way to go Steven!
