Local Cake Decorator To Appear on Hit Show, Cake Wars [VIDEO]

SARTELL - Combining the talent of a painter with the hands of a sculptor Amanda Hansen decorates hundreds of cakes for Coborn's Bakery.

Hansen, who has been decorating cakes for over a decade, will be featured on Food Networks hit show Cake Wars.

Hansen says she's had a knack for decorating cakes since she was a teenager. She often gets lost in her work and finds it to be a relaxing activity.

For eight years Hansen has competed in nationwide competitions. Throughout her travels she has met many other decorators and bakers including Sarah Watts, her partner on Cake Wars.

Hansen felt a little bit like the underdog on the show saying-

"I might just be a grocery girl [and Sarah too] but we grocery gals we were keeping up with the other people."
