Little Big Town released their last record, ‘The Reason Why,’ in 2010, and now they’re hitting the studio once again with the goal of bringing to life their next release, which will be their fifth as a band. For this project, the group is teaming up with producer Jay Joyce, who has worked with artists like the endlessly successful Eric Church and the Wallflowers.

Not much information has yet become available about the impending album, but Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman offered up a live peek into the studio last Wednesday (Feb. 28). They foursome took questions from fans about the process and progress of the new album.

Country music fans are more than a little curious about what Little Big Town will be coming up with next. The band’s last record saw their fastest-rising single with ‘Little White Church,’ which peaked at No.6 on Billboard’s Country Songs chart.

We’re excited to see what they’ve got cooking this time. It’s likely going to be good…very good.
