Lightning Strikes St. Cloud Children’s Home [PICS]

The St. Cloud Children's home was struck by lightning late Wednesday night. The bolt struck the bell tower waking many residents in the area including Minnesota New Country's very own Pete Hanson.

Hanson reported hearing a loud bang sound around 11:30 p.m.

Catholic Charities Executive Director Steve Bresnahan described the damage as looking like something blew up in the bell tower. He said  no one was hurt as a result of the strike. Crews are scheduled to come to the Children's Home later today to assess the damage.
