Library Gives Kids Chance to ‘Read Down’ Their Fines

ST. CLOUD -- Teens and children will have a chance to erase their late fines at the Great River Regional Library.

The annual "Read Down Your Fines" promotion begins Monday at all 32 branches of the Great River Regional Library, allowing kids 16 and younger to decrease their fines $1 for every 15 minutes spent reading.

This will be the 5th year for the promotion, which began in 2013 and is backed by fundraising efforts.

Read Down Your Fines runs through January 2nd.
