Country music got a little bit closer to possibly seeing a country singer win this season of 'American Idol' on Thursday night (April 11), as both Kree Harrison and Janelle Arthur landed in the Top 5 for Season 12.

Both performers have been strong all season long, with Harrison consistently landing near the top of the votes in results shows and garnering huge support from the judging panel. Arthur has struggled a couple of times, even landing in the bottom two last week, but she has still turned in a number of standout performances that showcase her restraint and ability to connect.

On Wednesday night Harrison turned in back-to-back killer renditions of 'What the World Needs Now Is Love' and 'Help Me Make It Through the Night,' earning raves from the judges. She received enough votes to place in the top two on Thursday.

Arthur faltered a bit on Wednesday with 'I'll Never Fall in Love Again,' but recovered to turn in an exemplary performance of 'The Dance.' She landed in the middle of the pack after all the votes were tallied. Both women will perform again next Wednesday, and one more contestant will go home on next week's results show.

In the end, it was Lazaro Arbos who was sent home.
