It was announced this afternoon that Kevin Garnett is finished with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Although he's basically retiring, the Wolves technically waived KG which allows him to collect the $8-Million remaining on his contract for the upcoming season.

Garnett only played 38 games for the team last season because of frequent injuries.

KG was drafted by the Timberwolves in 1995 straight out of high school. He led the Wolves to eight straight playoff appearances, including a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2004.

Garnett returned to the Wolves last season following time with the Boston Celtics and Brooklyn Nets from 2007 to 2015.
