Katie Couric Dominates [VIDEO]

Katie Couric premiered her new daytime talk show 'Katie' on Monday and she dominated according to early Nielsen ratings reports. Could Katie be the new Oprah?

The former 'Today Show' host brought in the best daytime talk show ratings since Dr. Phil premiered 10 years ago.

Ricki Lake and 'Survivor' host Jeff Probst also premiered talk shows on Monday but neither were remotely close to Katie's ratings. Her  guests on Monday were Sheryl Crow and Jessica Simpson.

Katie is one of those people who has the ability to capture your attention no matter who she is talking to or what she is talking about. So it's no surprise to me that her show kicked off so successfully.
