Jewel fans, get ready! The singer-songwriter is teasing that a "raw" new album could be in the works.

The singer's 1995 album, 'Pieces of You,' did extraordinarily well, so it's no surprise that she is ready to put out some new music. Jewel's debut went Platinum twelve times -- a huge feat in its own right, but especially for a first album.

She hints say there may be some similarities between this possible upcoming album and her smash debut. Should it happen, this release will be the follow-up to her 2010 country album, 'Sweet and Wild.'

“I’m looking at this record as a sort of bookend to my first record, 'Pieces of You,'" Jewel tells Country Weekly. “It’s gonna be a pretty raw album. Some of it will be done live.”

None of this is set in stone, so there could be changes along the way, but Jewel hopes to release her next album in the summer of 2014.
