Jason Aldean gave the audience at the 2011 CMA Awards a taste of life in small-town America when he performed his single ‘Tattoos on This Town.’ Although he likely was full of anticipation as a top contender for several of the evening’s awards, he seemed  fully into the performance of the song about teenage antics, including drag racing pickup trucks and Mustangs up and down dirt roads and otherwise leaving ‘Tattoos on This Town.’

Clad in jeans, a casual button-down shirt and his standard cowboy hat, Aldean seemed somewhat emotional as he took the audience on the sonic journey about growing up, love, pregnancy and war.

The song is the fourth single from Aldean’s ‘My Kinda Party’ CD that also includes the No. 1 country single ‘Dirt Road Anthem.’ The duet Aldean sings with Kelly Clarkson on ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay’ also became a No. 1 single off that album.
