When I lived in Colorado, I rented a house that had a tall fence around my back yard. There were weeds growing outside of that fence, in the alley.  I didn't realize those weeds were my responsibility too. They were. And while I didn't go to jail for it, I did get a notice from the city. This woman in Tennessee wasn't as lucky.

Karen Holloway ignored many notices and citations over the past 13 years about her yard. So officials decided it was time to take action. She was sentenced to 5 days in jail. A judge reduced that, but Karen refused to do the community service instead of jail time. She thinks the whole situation is crazy. You can read more and see photos here. Do you think jail time was too harsh? Do you have a neighbor that you would like to see punished for their messy yard?  Let us know!
