Warm weather has arrived in Central Minnesota. The sun is shining, the snow is melting, and that means the creepy crawlies are waking up from a warm winter's nap. Boxelder Bugs and Asian Beetles were both spotted in my neighborhood this weekend, and Asian Beetles even made their way into my home. So other than catching and squishing them, how do you deal with this invasion? One of my friends shared a solution on Facebook for the problem!

Mix one cup of warm water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and two drops of dish soap. Pour the mixture into a mason jar or old pickle jar with a wider mouth, and let it sit. It will take the pests about a day to find it, but by the second day you should have a collection of them in the water. Dump it out and re-do as needed! I feel like this is going to be a life saver this spring and summer!
