Is Jason Aldean Opening His Own Bar in Nashville?
A building on Lower Broadway in Nashville purchased by TC Restaurant Group in Ohio is named in Metro Nashville filings as Jason Aldean's Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, the Journal reports. The location is at 305-311 Broadway and sits next to two honky-tonks, Tequila Cowboy and WannaB's Karaoke Bar.
TC Restaurant Group reveals in a press release that they are working on a "multi-million dollar expansion" that features a fourth floor rooftop area and includes "soon-to-be-announced new venues." The restaurant operator is also behind Florida Georgia Line's food and entertainment venue FGL House, also located in downtown Nashville.
Becoming the proprietor of multi-use venues seems to be the new craze in the country music community, with Aldean walking a path laid early by Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville then Blake Shelton and his entertainment space Ole Red, Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row, Redneck Rivieria from John Rich and so on.
In the midst of this new business undertaking, Aldean is set to release his eighth studio album, Rearview Town, on April 13. The 15-track project includes a collaboration with Miranda Lambert on "Drowns the Whiskey" and features the R&B-influenced ballad and lead single, "You Make It Easy."
"Growing up in Macon, Ga., I had a chance to learn about so many different styles of music. Looking back on first playing in bands as a teenager, I was just soaking everything up. A lot of that comes out on this record...where I've been, and who I am now," Aldean describes of his "most adventurous album yet." The country star is up for two of the biggest honors at the 2018 ACM Awards, Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, and will be one of the night's featured performers.
