I would never dream of asking my parents to pay for a vacation for me.  I look at it like if I can't afford it, I probably shouldn't be going.  However, there are parents who are willing to foot the bill.

According to an article from the Daily Mail, a new survey indicates that more than two-thirds of parents will pay upwards of $1,800 and more for their adult children to go on vacation with them.  Are you serious???

First of all, I'm not sure I want to go on vacation with my parents.  It's really going to put a damper on me getting in to any kind of trouble and what fun is that?

Second, I'm not going to ask/expect my parents to pay my way.  I'm an adult, a working adult (even though I act like a kid most of the time, definitely have my dad's genes.)  I don't need or want someone else to pay my way.  If anything, it should be me paying for them because of all the stuff I put them through when I was younger.

What are your thoughts?  Is it okay for parents to foot the bill for their adult children's vacation?
