Ides of March! Are You Superstitious?

It wasn’t a good day for Julius Caesar. March 15th, 44 B.C. Not that he wasn’t warned about it. “Beware the Ides of March” is what some know-it-all prophet said to him. And he was right. Caesar was stabbed on that day. Since then, March 15th has gotten a bad rap.

If you’re superstitious, this could be a rough day for you. Chances are though, you’ll get through it unscathed. There have been, however, some people who had some pretty bad luck on this day in history.

In 1917, Czar Nicholas the Second abdicated the Russian throne, leading to the Bolsheviks taking over.

In 1941, a blizzard killed 60 people in North Dakota and Minnesota.

And in 1971, CBS cancelled the “Ed Sullivan Show”

Hopefully your day is uneventful. In a good way.
