The National Weather Service has issued an Ice Storm Warning for portions of Central Minnesota including Stearns, Morrison, Todd, Douglas, and Pope Counties for tomorrow. A Freezing Rain Advisory has been issued for Benton, Sherburne and areas to the south.

The Ice Storm Warning is in effect from 9 AM tomorrow through 6 PM tomorrow evening, where up to a quarter inch of ice accumulation is possible -- causing widespread power outages and dangerous driving conditions.

From the National Weather Service this Morning:  Freezing rain will develop Sunday morning and continue into the early to mid afternoon before turning to rain as temperatures warm toward 40. Ice accumulations of 1/10 to 1/4 inch are likely, with the heaviest amounts northwest of St. Cloud and near Alexandria and Little Falls. Thunderstorms become likely during the afternoon and early evening before rain ends late evening. Strong east southeast winds gusting to 40-50 mph Sunday will become southwest Sunday night.
