I was at Apollo High School's homecoming coronation last night to support my little sister, Sam! She was nominated for homecoming queen along with a few of her friends.

Since the gymnasium is under construction, the ceremony was held inside of the auditorium. The school's orchestra and student council members were also there entertaining parents, family and guests during the coronation.

When the ceremony started, each candidate was introduced to the audience and escorted to their seats on stage by their parents.

Each candidate had to perform the same exact science experiment to find out who the king and queen was. The students put on goggles and then each dipped a bouquet of white flowers into a bucket of pink solution. The two students whose flowers turned pink were the big winners.

Sam didn't win, but she was super happy because one of her good friends Kia Weekes won for the girls! Each candidate was extremely deserving of the honor and each one should be proud of themselves! Check out a few pictures from last night below!
