I Love To Bake On Cold Days Like Today

There's nothing better than lighting the oven on a frigid day like today!

It was so cold yesterday that I knew dinner was going to have to be something to make me warm up and I knew I wanted the oven on.  It was definitely the perfect day to make chili.

A few years ago, I'd never really had homemade chili.  I'd eaten it out of a can but once I got a taste of the homemade kind, that was it.  I found a really good and easy recipe from my favorite country artist, Sara Evans.  It doesn't take long to make and it's so tasty.  I can't wait for dinner tonight!  Check out the recipe here.

Chili is obviously made on the stove but it goes great with cornbread, so I baked a couple pans of yummy cornbread.  I've yet to try to make that from scratch so if you have a good recipe or any pointers, I'll take them.  It was so good and the perfect addition to the chili.
