I've heard of it, I've seen it, I've learned how to pronounce it  (ˈhē-kə-mə), but I had never tasted it. Until today.

YUM! I love this stuff! I walked past the produce aisle and found a container of jicama already cut up for my convenience. So I bought it. And it's good. It's a vegetable that looks like a turnip, but it's sweet, like an apple. I had mine with a little bit of hummus, but it was great all by itself.

Jicama. Who knew?
