What fear you ask? Well, that's a great question. Last night I was at the Xcel Energy Center helping our sister station, WJON, cover the Minnesota Wild game.

We were there to see former St. Cloud State University hockey player and current member of the LA-Kings, Nic Dowd get some ice time last night! Dowd scored 52 goals and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award his senior year at SCSU. Even though he was playing for the opposing team, it was very exciting to see him in action playing professional hockey.

But, that's not what this story is about. I'm deathly afraid of heights...like majorly afraid. If you've ever been to the Xcel Energy Center then you know how high up the press box is. It's one of the most terrifying things ever. You're pretty much at the highest point you can get in the stadium and unfortunately, in order to see the game action you have to look down. You're very aware of how high up you are. I was shaking and felt sick to my stomach for part of the game. I have no idea where my fear of heights come from.

I'm proud to say that even though I was extremely anxious, nervous and terrified, I sucked it up and faced my fear--that doesn't mean I'm over it though. I'm just happy that I didn't pass out because I felt like I was going to. Do you have a fear of heights?
