This question seems to come up a lot -- is it okay to bring your own food to movie theaters?  This is one of those things where I can see it from both sides, so it's hard to give a firm yes or no.

There's no doubt about it, when you hit the theater to check out a movie, it can be expensive.  Getting in to the movie isn't so bad but what about when you want pop, popcorn and candy?  That can increase the money you spend drastically.  Before I give my two cents on this, I do want to mention there really is nothing better than movie theater popcorn soaked in butter!

So, what do I think on all of this?  The answer is I don't know.  I mean it seems out of place to me to go to a restaurant that serves Coke products and bring in my own bottle of Mountain Dew.  I admit, I've done it and I see many other people do it as well.

I think it's kind of the same principle with movie theater food.  So I guess what I'm saying is I don't necessarily think that it's right but I won't go so far as to say it's completely wrong.  It's wrong in that the theater is a business and may be losing money but I think it's also one of those things that people just do.  That's my wishy-washy stance on the whole thing.
